Vandersypen Lab

Pablo Cova Fariña studied Physics and Condensed Matter Physics at the Technical University of Munich. During his Master's thesis at Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, he worked on dynamical decoupling protocols for spin-ensemble quantum memories for quantum communication applications.

In October 2020 he joined QuTech as a PhD student under the supervision of Lieven Vandersypen. Here, his main research topic is analog quantum simulations with semiconductor quantum dot arrays, with the aim of deepening our knowledge about different solid-state systems whose behaviour is determined by quantum mechanical phenomena. Pablo is not only fascinated by his work in the lab, but also has a strong interest in science communication.
