Olaf started his education with Computer Science at the Delft University of Technology. After finishing his master in 2012, he continued with a master in Science Communication in Delft and a bachelor in Psychology in Tilburg.

While studying in Delft, he also started working as a developer for his parents research company. After working on the Dutch National Crisis Management System (LCMS), and a full-stack, educational system for general practitioners, Olaf was asked to join QuTech as a contractor.

He joined QuTech in 2018 as a software engineer. In recent years, he joined the Software Development Support Team with the goal to standardise, grow and support QuTech’s software development efforts. With a focus on software architecture, he aims to bring the various demonstrator projects together for QuTech to compete with “the big boys”.

Olaf spends his spare time mostly with his wife and 1.5-year-old son. Since a few years, he has an annual pass for Disneyland Paris, which his son started to enjoy as well.
