Nick de Jong has a background in applied physics and has worked as a nanofabrication process development engineer and project manager. He started at the academic institute AMOLF in Amsterdam in 2006 and moved to Mapper Lithography in 2007. In 2015 he joined TNO in Delft, where he developed nanofabrication processes for topological qubit devices at the Kouwenhoven Lab and NV center devices at the Hanson Lab. As a project manager, he has led various types of projects with the aim of developing quantum devices and quantum systems.
Wat drives him, is to see that recent scientific breakthroughs can be used successfully to develop technology that will change the world.
