Ahmet Mert Bozkurt carried out his PhD studies in the group of Inanc Adagideli at the Sabanci University, Istanbul. During his PhD, Mert mainly focused on quantum thermodynamics and quantum transport in topological materials. In particular, he worked on how to implement Maxwell’s demon engines in topological insulators.

Mert joined the Wimmer group in August 2021 as a postdoc.

In his spare time, Mert likes playing basketball and chess and reading books.
