Lin received her master degrees in photonics from Aix Marseille Université, France (amU) and Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, Germany (KIT) in 2018, and her PhD degree in Physics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfram Pernice from Universität Münster, Germany in 2024.

Her doctoral researches centered on advancing nano- and integrated photonics. Specifically, she endeavored to develop a fully on-chip circuit, realized on a monolithic diamond & SiC platform, for single-photon applications. The circuit encompassed the implementation of photonic crystal cavities to enhance the ZPL emission of color centers, the development of an electro-opto-mechanical approach for actively tuning cavities resonance, and the integration of SNSPDs for single-photon detection.

Since January 2025, Lin has joined the Quantum Internet Division of QuTech as a joint postdoctoral researcher, collaborating with the research groups of Ishiahra, Errando-Herranz, and Nur. Her research, aligned with the Fujitsu project, centers on the 3D integration of diverse components in wafer-scale: cryo-CMOS electronics, advanced photonics, and diamond-based spin qubits. The ultimate goal of her work is to experimentally demonstrate complete qubit control and readout, and to showcase the proof-of-principle of modular scaling of the quantum processor.
