Julius studied Physics at the University of Stuttgart, receiving a scholarship of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. In his master`s, he worked at the Institute of Semiconductor Optics and Functional Interfaces, where he focused on the investigation of self-assembled quantum dots as sources of non-classical states of light at telecom wavelengths. In December 2021, he joined the Hanson Lab as a PhD student, working on open microcavities for diamond color centers.
In his spare time, Julius likes to do all kinds of sports, including Volleyball and Indiaca. Furthermore, he has a passion for photography and enjoys spending time on do-it-yourself projects.
