Csilla Buiting-Csikós is a Programme Manager at QuTech and works as a Division Coordinator for the Qubit Research Division.

Csilla obtained her MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology in 1988, with a specialization in production technology. After moving to the Netherlands, she worked at a production company as a design engineer. In 1992 she was happy to join the TU Delft, Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering. She got heavily involved in education: being responsible for and lecturing production technology courses of different BSc studies, pioneering with digital means in education in the 90’s and writing the book ‘Industrial Production’ with an editors collective. After 15 years Csilla decided to switch to the support line and became department manager, a broad operational management role. In 2009 she started working for the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering to fulfill the same role with the challenge of a different environment and mindset.

Being excited about quantum technology Csilla joined QuTech in 2018 as a programme manager. This job involves industrial collaboration and business development next to operational management. She was involved in the development of the Quantum Delft ecosystem as an account manager. She also had a central role in establishing the personnel committee of QuTech and she’s been chairing it since January 2020.

When not working, Csilla loves running, especially over bridges, travelling, driving, even long distances, and cooking or baking together with her children once they get back home.
