Charlotte van Hees is responsible for QuTech’s operational policy. She manages and supervises all activities, processes and employees for business operation purposes, including HR, communication, housing, health and safety, monitoring and control, finance, operational execution of existing collaborations, secretarial and technical support. It is her aim to support the research and innovation agenda of QuTech by means of smooth operational design and processes.

Charlotte has obtained her university degree from Utrecht University in organizational anthropology. Higher education and research have been the thread through her career. After returning from New York, where she worked for the United Nations on youth policies and programmes, she joined the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU). At VSNU she was responsible for the shared agenda setting of the board of university presidents and the management of the bureau. Before joining QuTech, she worked for Leiden University of Applied Sciences where she set up the directorate for Corporate Policy Development.
