Software Engineer

Hi there! My name is Bogdan Popescu, and I was born in Bucharest, Romania. I have completed my Ph.D. with the Distributed Systems Group at The Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. After this, I held various software development positions within the Financial Service, Trading, and Supply Chain Optimization industries. I see QuTech as a bridge between my academic and industry career.

I have been living in Amstelveen for the past ten years; in my spare time I like to keep up with world news, bike around Amstelveen, and hang out with my wife and two children.
