Bethany Davies received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. During her master’s she took courses in a range of particle physics and quantum information theory, alongside writing coursework on fermion to qubit mappings and their application to near term quantum algorithms. Before joining QuTech she was an intern at Universal Quantum, a start-up based in her hometown of Brighton, UK. Since September 2021 she has been a PhD student in the group of Stephanie Wehner, focusing on the modelling and performance evaluation of quantum devices, networks and architectures.
