The Quantum Technologies Summer School program consists of:
- Lectures by the top experts of quantum technologies
- Poster sessions: Each participant will bring a poster showcasing their research and activities and get feedback on their projects and network with other participants and experts. The best poster will be awarded.
- A quiz: Halfway-through, participants will take a quiz to monitor their progress on the understanding of the topics. It will be interactive, and the answers will be shared, explained and discussed amongst participants.
- Lab visits: The participants will visit several labs at QuTech and QCE. The laboratory setups for quantum research such as cryo-measurement setups for quantum computing will be explained by researchers.
- Start-up visits: In Delft there are several quantum startups spun-out from QuTech, forming a vibrant ecosystem. The participants will visit the startup companies and interact with them.
- Cleanroom tour: The participants will visit two cleanrooms in Delft for nanofabrication of chips with qubits and the interface electronics necessary for scaling up the quantum system.
- Workgroup: The students will form groups and analyse given journal paper(s) about quantum technologies. Each group will give presentations to explain the paper and the original ideas that are behind the paper, inspired by the lectures. An award will be given for the best group.
