In the future, QuTech will be housed in a new building on the southern part of TU Delft campus in the development area called Kluyver area. This area will be developed into a lively environment with new facilities for education and research, where meetings and cooperation will be encouraged.

The official kick-off took place with the design team, the management of QuTech and CRE & FM and the project team CRE & FM. The day was marked by a informal introduction, tours in current QuTech labs and a toast to celebrate the collaboration.

Collaboration between services and the user

The kick-off is the starting signal for the design process together with the architect (Cepezed), constructor Pieters Bouwtechniek, consultants Buro Happold and Peutz, project manager construction supervision Abcnova, QuTech and the university services. The first concept design of the new building is expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2023.

“A lot of hard work has been done to come to this kick-off. It was an intensive process in which we, as future users, and the experts from the services worked together pleasantly. From now on, the QuTech building can take concrete shape. Our expectations are high.” Charlotte van Hees – Director Operations QuTech
