Quantum simulation on a chip
Prof.dr ir. Lieven Vandersypen is involved with nanotechnology. Materials and molecules are often too complex to be calculated on computers. The researchers will therefore simulate and measure complex materials and molecules in the lab with nanotechnology. They hope to gain new insight that can lead to the creation of better medicines and cleaner technology.

Vici
The Vici grants will be awarded science-wide by the NWO. Within Vici, researchers are free to apply for funding for their own research projects. Vici is part of the Incentives Scheme of NWO, which gives scientists in various stages of their career the opportunity to conduct ground-breaking research.
