Rodica Malancea holds a dual degree in communications and theology from the Columbia International University of South Carolina, USA. After her studies, she started her career as an event manager in Tennessee. After relocating to the Netherlands in 2015, Rodica started managing international legal cooperation projects at the Center for International Legal Cooperation in The Hague.
After seven fulfilling years in the justice sector, Rodica pursued new horizons and transitioned to the Technical University, entering the world of quantum technology research projects. At the Quantum Computing Division at QuTech, she manages several projects aimed at supporting principal investigators in their mission to build the quantum computer of the future. Rodica's driving force is her passion to see research institutes like QuTech make a tangible difference in the world through groundbreaking research.
In her spare time, Rodica finds comfort and joy in nature. Whether it's strolling in the neighborhood or hiking in the dunes with her husband and son, Rodica appreciates the simple pleasures life has to offer. Her favorites include cooking, playing volleyball, making music, and sitting down with a good book, as well as spending quality time with her family.
