Marcel studied physics at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and received a MSc in experimental condensed matter physics. During his study he discovered his interest in spintronics and quantum computation and did his Master thesis on quantum dot defined singlet triplet qubits in GaAs. At the end of 2019 he started his PhD in the Veldhorst Lab at QuTech. Where Marcel dove deeper into the fascinating world of electron spins and quantum computation. His project focusses mainly on two-dimensional quantum dot and quantum bit arrays in Si/SiGe.
