Maarten studied Industrial Design in Delft before transitioning to Language and Literature at Tilburg University. After graduating, he spent a few years teaching Marketing and Account Management before starting his own communications company. With 25 years of experience, working in a strictly commercial setting, he felt it was time for another change. In June 2023, he joined QuTech as a senior communication advisor for innovation & business development before moving to his role in external relations management.
