Last year’s Delft Quantum Showcase was a great success, and this year, QuTech and QDNL Delft are building on it.

The 2026 edition will take place on 27 October and will again bring together the entire academic and business quantum community in Delft in one space during the afternoon expo. Expect even more participants than at last year, as the quantum community in Delft has grown to an impressive 1,100+ professionals.

Morning symposium

A new addition to this year’s Showcase is a morning symposium running from 10:00 to 12:30. Note that the program has been updated to include a session, hosted by the Dutch government on the recently published ‘Government-wide Quantum Strategy’ (Rijksbrede quantumstrategie). This session will replace the quantum & AI session.

• Government-wide Quantum Strategy
  With presentations by Erik van de Burgwal and Deborah Nas.
• Quantum Applications
  With presentations by Matthias Moller and Vedran Dunjko, and a panel discussion, moderated by Marco Matters, that includes Bas Engelen and Marcin Dukalski, as well as the two presenters.

• Quantum & Security
  With presentations by Jasper Slobbe and Nathan Eskue and a panel discussion, moderated by Job Nijs, that includes Bob Dirks and Johan Bogerd and the two above presenters.

• Quantum Ecosystems
  With presentations by Jorg Kop and Freeke Heijman and a panel discussion, moderated by Dan Howell, that includes Ulrich Mans and Claire Pink as well as the two presenters.

Afternoon expo

The afternoon expo will take place between 13:30 and 17:30, and will be rounded off with drinks. The expo is a walk-in event, but you have to sign up if you want to attend the symposium.
