Kymberley was born in The Hague and studied Law at Hogeschool Leiden where she obtained her Bachelor of Law in 2016. She followed a minor in Philosophy and a minor in Health Law and wrote her thesis on product liability of medical instruments. In 2019 she successfully finished the Formalities Officer course with Delta Patents and became a certified Patent Formalities Officer.

In 2015 Kymberley started her career as a legal advisor (civil law) in Utrecht. In 2017 she decided to discover the world of Intellectual Property and made the switch to V.O. Patents & Trademarks to work as a patent formalities officer. In March 2023 Kymberley started working for QuTech as an IP Administrator/Formalities Officer. She spends half of her time with the IP team at the Innovation & Impact Center and half of her time at QuTech.
