Colin did his bachelor’s degree at the University of Stuttgart, where he wrote his thesis in the field of rare-earth quantum emitters. Since May he is doing his master’s project of the University of Stuttgart as an internship in the Hanson Lab at QuTech. Colin will study NV and SnV centres in thin diamond membranes for open fibre-based microcavities. In his spare time, he likes to play guitar and piano, while for sport he plays tennis or goes bouldering.
