Casper Boor studies Applied Physics at the TU Delft, focusing on quantum mechanics. He first joined QuTech for his bachelor thesis in the lab of Ronald Hanson and he is currently writing his master thesis in the lab of Giordano Scappucci. His research focuses on superconductor-semiconductor hybrid devices in Ge/SiGe planar heterostructures, which could offer a relevant platform for exploring scalable topological and superconducting quantum-information systems.
In his spare time, Casper does voluntary work as a cub scout leader and he sports at least once a day. He likes playing judo, working out, running, cycling, and hiking.
