Amir Sammak (Tehran, Iran, 1983) received his Ph.D. in Electrical Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM) from Delft University of Technology in 2012. In 2015 he started a post-doctoral fellowship at QuTech. In 2017 he joined TNO. Where he is working as a research scientist, at the Quantum Technology (QI) Department.
As an electronics engineer/ device physicist, he pursues research towards semiconductor material and fabrication process developments. With the particular focus on hetero-genius integration of silicon and germanium. Using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques. He currently investigates development of various SiGe heterostructures as potential platforms for fabrication of CMOS-compatible silicon and germanium spin-qubits. And provides these materials for several quantum research groups within QuTech.
