Dr. Almudever moved to the Technical University of Valencia in Spain. The Almudever group is managed ad-interim by the Research Lead of the Quantum Computing Division, Fabio Sebastiano.
Welcome to the Almudever Group at Delft University of Technology. We belong to QuTech and the Quantum and Computer Engineering department of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Building a quantum computer is not only about having quantum devices or processors, analogously to classical computers are not only based on transistors or integrated circuits. Accordingly, our group focuses on the definition and implementation of a full-stack scalable computing system that bridges the gap between quantum applications and quantum devices. More specifically, we work on the higher layers of the system stack that allow expressing quantum algorithms and being executed on real quantum processors or quantum computer simulators. To this purpose our research includes i) quantum programming languages and compilers (OpenQL and QASM), ii) mapping of quantum circuits, iii) fault-tolerant quantum computation and iv) noise characterization and simulation.
